‘Empowered Bumps’ and ‘Renewed You Yoga’ are teaming up to bring you a relaxing birth workshop for mums to be.
This 2.5 hour workshop will help you to relax and understand how your body works equipping you with information and tools to help you achieve a calm and relaxed pregnancy and birth.
At 1:30pm the workshop will open with an hour of pregnancy yoga with Liz to help you explore and connect with your breath, mind and body.
Light refreshments and sweet treats will follow before an hour’s Hypnobirthing session to help you understand how your body works and how you can help birth your baby as nature intended.
We will then end the workshop with a short Q and A session so you will have the opportunity to ask Jenie and Liz any questions you may have.
Pregnancy yoga has many benefits for mums to be not only for relaxation but it can help you reduce fear, explore birthing positions and strengthen muscles and improve flexibility.
Hypnobirthing has been shown to reduce labour times and the need for pain relief. It gives you the tools to enable you to have a calm, relaxed and empowered birth. Hypnobirthing releases fear and gives you confidence in your ability to birth your baby. You will gain understanding about how your body works, the hormones involved and learn valuble relaxation and breathing techniques to aid you through pregnancy and labour.

Renewed You Yoga is located at The Dairy, 91a King Street, Southport (near town centre). Please note there is no on site parking however there are many car parks nearby and street parking is available.
Liz also offers one-off Birthing Workshops in Southport for mum’s to be and their birthing partners. Building on tools and techniques used in her prenatal yoga classes, Liz’s aim is to provide practical tips for labour for both parents and all birthing partners.
Liz studied Prenatal Yoga in India which involved an exploration of a woman’s body, sex, pregnancy and childbirth from a physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual perspective. From this training Liz offers alternative ideas, pain relief methods, and birthing positions to help both mum’s to be, dad’s to be and birthing partners feel more prepared and connected to childbirth alongside medical advice. Liz’s aim is to encourage mum’s to be to feel empowered and trust their own body so they can give birth with less stress and fear.

Liz qualified as a prenatal yoga teacher in India undertaking a certified 85 hour course with Awakened Spirit Yoga designed to offer a holistic yoga practice to support women during pregnancy and birth. This training course is one of the few registered courses certified by Yoga Alliance.
