Birthing Workshops

Birthing Workshop – Monday 6 June 2016 at 6.30pm-8pm

Liz offers one-off Birthing Workshops for mum’s to be and their birthing partners. Building on tools and techniques used in her prenatal yoga classes, Liz’s aim is to provide practical tips for labour for both parents and all birthing partners.

Liz studied Prenatal Yoga in India which involved an exploration of a woman’s body, sex, pregnancy and childbirth from a physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual perspective.  From this training Liz offers alternative ideas, pain relief methods, and birthing positions to help both mum’s to be, dad’s to be and birthing partners feel more prepared and connected to childbirth alongside medical advice. Liz’s aim is to encourage mum’s to be to feel empowered and trust their own body so they can give birth with less stress and fear.

This workshop will be 1 hour 30 minutes at the Temperance Institute, Southport. All places must be pre-booked. The workshop costs £24 per couple. Mum’s to be are welcome to attend solo and the price will be reduced accordingly.

Bio

Liz qualified as a prenatal yoga teacher in India undertaking a certified 85 hour course with Awakened Spirit Yoga designed to offer a holistic yoga practice to support women during pregnancy and birth.  This training course is one of the few registered courses certified by Yoga Alliance. Liz is also a 200 hour certified Akhanda hatha yoga teacher.

Liz is a 200 hour qualified Akhanda hatha yoga teacher and prenatal yoga teacher in Southport. Liz was a practising Solicitor in London before the opportunity to travel took her to India and S E Asia for 6 months where she explored and deepened her yoga and meditation practice. She qualified with Akhanda Yoga in Rishikesh and undertook a further 85 hours of training in prenatal yoga. Yoga changed her life and she is privileged to teach students and share practical tips for finding peace in our busy lives.
